It’s interesting how far one can go when seeking inspiration. In my case, it’s as far back as 1903. While researching Japanese wave ornaments, I came across a series of Hamonshu - 波紋集 originally published for lacquerware and sword craftsmen. Powerful aesthetic is timeless, these illustrations are one such example.
