It’s Day 23 on the Design Marathon calendar. I’m experimenting with a new style. Forcing myself to use only Illustrator. Here is my new poster I put together during the last week – “the Dude”, inspired by “the Big Lebowski” movie.
Because.. “this aggression will not stand, man!”
It’s been a busy week around here, with all the graduation activities and paper procedures. (Graduation photo post is coming pretty soon, need to process the film first). Here is a small poster I made on my free time in the past couple of days.
I’m happy to announce my self-initiated “Star Trek Into Darkness” poster. Loved the movie, what a great vibe! When I saw the last scene, I thought: “That is totally gonna end up as a poster.” So here it is!
This time I challenged myself to use as less elements as possible and keep everything very simple. I limited the color palette to 3 colors as well.
Played around and made a vintage, more minimalistic variant of the same poster:
Super rough first idea sketches, as you can see I ended up forming a Starfleet emblem out of Enterprise engine trails:
More detailed shots:
Basic Illustrator shapes:
Concept print ad for Swiss Airlines over the afternoon.
Here a small “behind the scenes” of the Wymaroo brand development. For those who are still in the dark, here is a 9 sec video that perfectly explains the meaning of the word – Wymaroo: the link.
Two color variations of VI as the company initially planned to have 2 branches:
Spent an afternoon sketching hovercrafts, afterwards put a scanned image in Photoshop and made a quick greyscale render. Practicing form rendering.
With all these pre-graduation projects, Chinese exams and stuff it feels crazy around workshop these days. Here is a poster I put together after taking HSK (Chinese proficiency) test. If you liked this poster, feel free to download it as a desktop image for your computer or iPhone, iPad. Enjoy.
Here is a Retina quality simple and minimalistic, one page free PSD website template for your upcoming iOS app. The picture you see on the iPhone was made by me in Uzbekistan.
Just a little freebie I put together this afternoon. Enjoy.Download .psd
I’m happy to announce the packaging we designed for a “Chara” tea brand, based in Singapore. The company producing top quality organic tea in Yunnan, China. Here is a short intro from them:
It is believed that about a thousand years ago, tea first spread across China and Asia from its origins in Pu’er through a network of paths known as the Tea Horse Road or 茶马道. Today, Pu’er county and its nearby areas still produce some of the finest teas in the world. In Chara, you will experience the highest quality puer tea from old tea trees; absent of any form of chemical fertilisers – yes, Chara’s puer is organic!
Letterpress on the packaging:
Lot’s of process shots below, so beware!
